We seek a Product Manager to join the team developing and translating business requirements and customer needs into a new generation of web applications.

Product Manager - Business Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver products to meet Sermo's business and platform initiatives.
  • Gather and write product requirements, by investigation and definition of detailed business use cases and user stories.
  • Support product management roadmap and delivery commitments by active prioritization of product backlogs with the cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in Agile teams with Engineering and Program Management.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience with the full lifecycle of online product development.
  • 3 - 5 years business analysis/program or project management experience.
  • Strong business requirements writing experience with Agile methodology practices is highly valued.
  • 4-year degree in business or an internet-related field.
  • 1+ years of work experience in an internet company (preferably a b2c company) with an understanding of web development methodologies.

Characteristics of a successful candidate

  • Proven ability to investigate, understand, anticipate and translate customer needs into prioritized product requirements.
  • Exposed to state-of-the-art online technologies.
  • Strong team building skills to lead development efforts, with the ability to successfully collaborate to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong outside-the-box thinking and imagination with the ability to weigh alternatives.
  • Exposure to analytics and business intelligence approaches are highly valued.

The role you could play with us

  • Define product features and functionality in an Agile environment while balancing a range of business priorities.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Program Management and User Experience teams to define and refine new product initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing analysis - including the use of surveys and other feedback tools - to monitor product results.
