Senior Designer
Responsibilities
- Conceive and design on-strategy creative design solutions for email blasts, direct mail, brochures, print ads, event invitations, sales materials, PowerPoint slides, collateral for trade shows and special events, banner ads, landing pages and web sites.
- Produce graphics files for use on the web site and in other marketing materials.
- Participate in the ongoing development of the marketing group's creative strategy.
- Interpret and seamlessly translate the company brand into all media channels.
- Collaborate with copywriters, other creative talent and internal clients to develop breakthrough creative to help differentiate Sermo from it's competitors and position it as the leading authority in its space
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in graphic design with the responsibility of implementing both print and online marketing initiatives for an advertising agency or marketing design firm
- Extensive experience working in a team with writers and other designers to collaborate on solutions
- Online user experience skills and knowledge of best practices essential
- Experience reviewing and commenting on information architecture best practices a plus
- Experience assisting in the creation and evangelizing of company branding and marketing
- Prior experience in a start-up is preferred but not essential
- Highly developed design sensibilities including knowledge of color theory and typography
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and quickly comprehend complex material and concepts
- Expert skills in Mac-specific design tools; i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 etc. as well as Microsoft Office 2004/2008
- Strong HTML and CSS knowledge. DHTML and AJAX implementation skills are a plus
